7th IARP workshop on ‘Robotics for Risky Environment and Extreme Robotics’ in Saint Petersburg
The 7th edition of the IARP (International Advanced Robotics Programme) workshop - Robotics for Risky Environment and Extreme Robotics- will be organised, with the support of the Climbing and Walking Robotics Association (CLAWAR), in the Russian State Scientific Centre for Robotics and Technical Cybernetics of Saint-Petersburg (Russia) from 1st until 3rd October 2013.
The participants will discuss about topics such as demining actions, Space and Aerial Monitoring and applications, Search and Rescue Operations and Robot Navigation, among others.
The professor Yvan Baudoin and the Dr. Geert de Cubber from the Belgian Royal Military Academy will present the TIRAMISU (Toolbox Implementation for Removal of Anti-personnel Mines, Submunitions and Uxo) and ICARUS (Integrated Components for Assisted Rescue and Unmaned Search Operations) projects.
This event will take place in the framework of the 6th edition of theSt.Petersburg International Innovation Forum and the XVII Internatonal Forum 'Russian Industrialist'.
Paper Submission
All the actors interested in the call of papers can send their contributions before the 30th May 2013. The contribution should focus on theories, principles and developments which have been explicitly developed for (terrestrial, aerial, underwater) robots, and carried sensor systems for environmental surveillance, risky interventions in unstructured environments and/or in extreme environmental conditions.
An abstract (approximately 300 words in English) should be received not later than 30th May 2013.
